About the Sport Ireland Campus

The SPAR European Cross Country Championships Fingal Dublin 2021 will take place in the Sport Ireland Campus Snugborough Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

The SPAR European Cross Country Championships Fingal-Dublin will take place on the purpose built cross country track on the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin, Ireland. The facility was developed by Sport Ireland in consultation with Athletics Ireland to provide the first permanent national cross country track for both training and competition in Ireland. The purpose built cross country track is unique in character and amenity, and provides an exciting world class venue for athletes, spectators and media alike.

The Sport Ireland Campus is the home of Irish Sport, not just for the athletes, but for the community. The Sport Ireland Campus is home to world-class indoor and outdoor facilities which host local, national and international events and which are perfect for team and individual training. The Sport Ireland Campus is home to a wide range of facilities including, but not limited to; The Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre, The National Gymnastics Training Centre, The Sport Ireland covered pitches, Multi -sport pitches, Sport Ireland National Indoor Training Centre and the Sport Ireland Campus Conference Centre.

Accessing the venue

To all spectators travelling by car to the SPAR European Cross Country Championships on the 12th of December in the Sport Ireland Campus.

Please note that all registered ticket holders will be emailed directly as to where they must park for the event.


Note there is no parking on the Sport Ireland Campus for spectators.

For anyone unsure of their parking details please proceed to the M3 Parkway Dunboyne to avail of the free Park & Ride facilities. Buses will run from 8am.


Disabled Parking

Disabled Parking is available. Please contact with your ticket number to lodge a request.


By Bus from the City Centre.

Please take the 38A from Hawkins Street in the City Centre to Snugborough Road in Blanchardstown. The bus Stop is located directly outside the Sport Ireland Campus. Further information can be found at



Cycle racks are available at the National Aquatic Centre for anyone wishing to cycle to the venue.

The SPAR European Cross Country Championships Fingal-Dublin will take place Sunday 12th December 2021.

  • I can’t make it to the Cross Country, how can I watch the event?

If you live in Ireland, you will be able to catch all the live action from the SPAR European Cross Country Championships 2021 on RTÉ 1. You will also be able to stream the day’s events online live via the RTE Player worldwide stream and European Athletic’s Youtube or website.

If you are an international viewer, you may be able to watch it live through your own local television broadcaster. There will be a food and drink vendor on site. You may also bring your own food and drink into the venue. We ask everyone to respect the venue and environment we are in and to maintain a clean rubbish free area. 

  • Where can I buy tickets?

This is a fully ticketed event. Tickets will not be available on the day. You can purchase tickets for the 2021 SPAR European Cross Country Championship HERE. On this page you will also be able to find lots information about ticketing. The ticket price is €8 plus booking fee per person. U16’s go free but also require a ticket.


  • Can tickets be purchased online? 

Yes, tickets can be purchased on our website HERE. Ticket prices are €8 plus booking fee and U16’s go free. 


  • Can tickets be purchased on the day?

No, this is a fully ticketed event and all tickets must be bought online in advance.


  • Do I need my ticket to get into the event?

Yes, you must bring the e-tickets as proof of purchase with you to the event. Please keep your tickets on you and if you have printed your tickets off, keep them safe and dry. Your ticket should be presented at the gate upon entry. To avoid delays at the gate, please have your ticket ready and tickets should be presented individually.


  • I have purchased my ticket online, now what?

Once you purchase your ticket you should receive an email from which will have details relating to your ticket. This email will have an attachment in the form of a PDF file. This file is your unique ticket. Please print it off or have it saved as a PDF file or screenshot on your mobile device and bring it with you to the venue.

  • Do I need to print my ticket?

No, you don’t need to print your ticket. There are two way you can present your ticket at the gate.

  • You can print your tickets off at home

Your ticket will be available for printing after purchase. When you print your e-tickets out you will need to cut them into individual. This allows each person to hold and present their own ticket, speeding up entry.


Please ensure you have printed out your tickets in advance of the event and before travelling. Please ensure you have printed ALL your e-tickets

  • You can show your e-ticket on your mobile device.

If you prefer, you can show your e-tickets on your mobile device. Please ensure you save them, or take a screen-shot with the barcode clearly visible before you arrive at the event as there is no guarantee that there will be roaming internet available when you get to the event site and the event cannot be held responsible if you cannot access your e-tickets at the gate.


Each ticket will be scanned and electronically validated at the gate upon entry. Once scanned, the e-tickets are no longer valid. Please do not duplicate your ticket as it can only be used once.


  • Can I get a refund on my tickets?

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable.
